Where did the name Jaded come from/any specific significance?
The music business jades us all to some degree…it’s a simple, memorable, one word name that everyone can relate to.

Brief Band Bio:
Jaded is a hard hitting, all female rock band that kicks you in the
face with a rock-n-roll party, firing on all cylinders. Reminiscent of
‘80’s style rock energy and decadence this band delivers in talent,
looks, and raw aggression. Julie Steel’s soaring vocals caress the
ear while biting and tearing with reckless abandon. This is clearly not
your average screaming vocalist! Britt Lightning compliments her
perfectly, shredding her guitar with a precise, fiery assault of fret-
work. Abbey Dragon’s pulsating bass makes you pump your fist as
she drives the band and the party! Hillary Blaze pounds her drums,
adding rapid fire double kick to complete the rock-n-roll onslaught.
Jaded’s live show is a high octane experience, both visually and aurally,
that has earned them a devoted following everywhere they have played.
As a result, the band has already played in support of many national acts
including Crossfade, Damage Plan, Disturbed, George Lynch, Lacuna
Coil, Mushroomhead, Powerman 5000, Saliva, Shadowsfall, Shinedown,
Silvertide, Skid Row, Stryper, Tesla, WASP, and more.

What do you think the advantages and disadvantages are to being an all girl band in todays music scene?
There are definitely advantages to being an all girl band in a current scene where we feel talented girl rock bands are at a defecit…the image and sex appeal of chicks in leather rocking out on instruments they can actually play is a sight which is unfortunately not seen enough today, so therefore it can attract a lot of attention right off the bat. A disadvantage would be some people assume that chicks can’t play, or if they can, they certainly can’t rock. There is also the preconceived notion that girl bands are a joke or novelty and people don’t take them seriously. However, for this band, musical ability is just as important as putting on a good live show. In our experience, fans feel we have accomplished just that.
What sets Jaded apart from other bands of today and your thoughts on the current state of rock music?
The style of music we play is not indie, punk, emo, or nu-metal sounding like what is mostly coming out of the Boston scene. We try to bring back up-beat, fist-pumping, headbanging, party music. Jaded holds the value of an entertaining show just as high as the quality of the music- so we get dressed up, we get an attitude, we jump around, and we ROCK!

The live show is definitely our forte. Watching our live show one can see first-hand the enjoyment and passion playing on stage brings us, and the commeraderie between all the members is undeniable.

I have met Jaded and seen them play live in Fall River, MA. First of all after traveling a long way to see them the girls took time out before their show to stop and talk to me for a half hour or so and I talked to each of them about their music and influences! It was great to talk to them. All of them are very personable, not to mention gorgeous! Their show was awesome with that strong base pounding and Hillary’s powerful drumming mixed with fast rolls. Julie has that strong sexy singing voice which really gets your attention and what can I say about Britt, her guitar playing and well crafted solos are outstanding, its exciting to watch her do solos,especially on the bar. These girls kick ass!!!!!
