Band Bio:
Remember when you couldn’t wait for your favorite bands to bring out their next record?? Remember when you stood for an hour through the support band because you might hear something that your friends aren’t onto yet?? Remember when it was real?? Don’t be afraid to live in the past with your music; after all if it wasn’t for the past there would be no future. Let the GATE KEEPERS of the MUSIC INDUSTRY know they are asleep on the job. ROCK AND ROLL ....ELECTRIC MARY.
How long has the band been together?
- Inspired by a visit to Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland studios in New York, I decided to go back to what made me first want to play music: to make music that made me happy and hope that the rest will follow. After rounding up the troops that I wanted to help create the music, Electric Mary was born in April 2003.

Sounds like?:
Classic rock
Influences?
Deep Purple 74-77, John Lennon, Cheap Trick, Tom Petty, Queen and everything that comes under the heading good music.
CD Releases:
"Four Hands High” released locally in Australia in 2004.
Ultimate goal as a band?
To musically do whatever we want to do and hope that people will jump on board with us.
If Electric Mary could play with 2 bands past or present, who would it be?
Deep Purple with Coverdale and Hughes - (Headlining). John Lennon and George Harrison, playing an acoustic set of my favorite songs. I don’t want much! We’d go on first so I could get a drink, relax and enjoy the magic.
What sets Electric Mary apart from other bands of today and your thoughts on the current state of rock music?
I’m not sure about the rest of the world and i’m not even sure about the rest of Australia. But i’m sure we could rock with the best of ‘em. We have a great vibe within the band. When we come to play we mean business and we love to smash it up. Guitar solos, drum solos, 8 minute songs. Whatever we want to do, we do it. We’ve never approached a record company, we may in time, but we need to establish Electric Mary amongst the people first.
As for the state of the industry, me thinks the gate keepers are asleep on the job. I’ve read so many times where people like Bowie, McCartney and alike have said they would not be able to make those great records now...how fucking sad is that!
