This is an open forum for staff members, contributers, and fans alike to submit their reviews on the latest music releases and concerts. In an industry that is drowning with overprocessed, grossly overrated, unoriginal crap these days, this is our chance to allow the real stars to shine, if only on our humble, little stage; and expose you to some of our favorite talents.
Reviews are given 1 - 5 stars.

Trashpit Records and Trashpit Magazine have done it again with their latest cd dedicated to the hardest working bands in the business. This compilation represents everything that is good in the music industry - a bunch of bands busting their asses to make their mark, camaraderie, and most of all, a full set of ass-kicking tunes. The disc offers up songs from bands in the US, Canada and the UK, most of whom have forged friendships through their lives in the underground and survival on the road.
With twelve tracks, the disc offers just enough of each band to whet your appetite and hopefully get you interested in checking out each band in much more detail. The bands range from TWRY favorites The Erotics to our UK favorites Teenage Casket Company, coincidentally the band of Trashpit main man Rob Lane! The two bands have also toured together in the past. (Check out our past spotlight band sections for spotlights on both of these bands.)
The rest of the bands on the disc (Patchwork Grace, Red Light Rippers, The Dangerfields, Idiot3, Vamps & Gypsies, Disarm, Elegantly Wasted, Serpenteens, Exit State and Zen Motel) carry their own as well. Each offering up unique songs, some of which are exclusives that were previously unreleased, making this disc even more inviting. The thing that struck me most about this compilation is the diversity from song to song, there really is something here for everyone. There are bands to suit everyone’s taste from glam to rock to sleaze to punk, you name it, this cd encompasses it. Big thanks to Trashpit for taking a chance on these bands and helping expose them to music fans worldwide.
A lot of these bands are on tour 12 and a half months out of the year so keep an eye on the clubs in your area and check the band websites for tour dates so you can go out and check out their live shows! Music fans need to step up and support local music, consider it an investment in the future of music.
