Bonjour, loves,
Allow me to kindly introduce myself, as I’ve yet to have the chance to. I’m Lexi, and I reside in the beautiful [if you consider beautiful to mean ‘eternally rainy’] city of Pittsburgh. [We’re actually on about our 8th straight day of hard rain, today, and I’m contemplating building an ark.] I’ve been on this fair magazine’s staff for about 5 months, now. But, I’ve been a bit of an enigma, as I never really spoke with anyone but Mary. So, fellow staffers and readers, nice to pseudo-meet you all. I’ll be posting blogs on a pretty regular basis, now, to let you know what I’m working on, etc. I’m a big blogger, so I probably won’t slack on this at all [I think...]. What can I tell y’inz about myself? Hrm. Well, I don’t really say “y’inz” or “crick” or any other Pittsburghese words. I’m actually a grammar freak, so that drives me crazy. I’m a human Roget’s package [dictionary AND thesaurus...oh snap.] I greatly enjoy Asian food and coffee. I’m getting my bachelor’s in photography at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. I’m a loudmouth. And, I’m also not feeling very creative as far as what else to tell you, so...*ALERT: SHAMELESS PLUG FOR BLOG* this can fill in the blanks.
Now, onto the actual bloggage…
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Chap Stique of Family Force 5, and was even given my own ‘gangster name’ as a welcome to the Family.
[Holler at Hush Puppy, y’all!]
However, despite the readership the interview has been getting, the comments on it are lacking, and it’s making Chap Stique sad.
I love him, you love him...TELL HIM SO.
Comment the interview, kids, because comments = a happy Chappy
.
[I make a lot of really corny, stupid jokes that really aren’t that funny. You’ll have to pardon those.]
FF5’s CD, Business Up Front, Party In The Back, is absolutely infectious, and I’ve been listening to it on repeat since Warped Tour.
If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend you do.
With school AND work [they always say “don’t quit your day job"], it’s sometimes tough for me to crank out the interviews/photos all that quickly, but I try my hardest.
The FF5 photo gallery should be up at some point in the next couple days.
Also, keep an eye out for my interview with Derrick and Pat of Chiodos, which should also be viewable in the next couple days.
Still to come?
Interviews with: Biffy Clyro, Flogging Molly, and Pepper
Photo galleries of: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Biffy Clyro, Flogging Molly, and Blessthefall
Take care!
[AND, COMMENT THAT INTERVIEW!]
