Finals at the Art Institute were BRUTAL, but I survived, and am now back to being a busy little TWRY worker-bee.
[Just a quick update, here, before I rush off to do another thousand things I had to put off during the past few weeks.]
The Biffy Clyro interview is finally transcribed and should be posted ASAP. Those boys have the thickest accents, and the transcription took about 7 hours, so comment that one and make me feel like my efforts weren’t in vain. They’re ridiculously nice, and I’m so happy to see the success they’re having in the States. I’ve been a long-time fan of the band. When I was in England/Wales about 5 years ago, they were all the rage, and I’ve been hoping and praying for a US tour ever since. Mon the Biffy!
Now that I am not spending the majority of my day in a basement darkroom/photo lab, slaving away, I can sit at my computer, drink coffee, smoke, and slave away at all of this Warped Tour stuff I was unable to get done before. Expect lots of pictures and a few more interviews [Flogging Molly, Pepper, Circa Survive].
Upcoming pour moi?
I’ll be shooting Minus the Bear, matt pond PA, and Paolo Nutini in the coming weeks.
Definite interview with Matt, and possible interview-age with Paolo. We have our fingers crossed on that one.
Also, keep an eye on our Spotlight section.
I’ll be interviewing a couple incredible semi-local bands this week, and they definitely deserve a listen.
Take care, loves, and rock on.
